Netmore Acquires Actility to Lead Global Transformation of Massive IoT

Netmore Group, the leading network operator for Massive IoT, officially announced its acquisition of Paris-based Actility on January 26, 2026. This strategic move unites two major players in the low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) space, creating the world’s largest LoRaWAN® network with over 14 million contracted IoT devices across Netmore and Actility’s ThingPark-powered networks.

The acquisition significantly expands Netmore’s global footprint, adding deployments in over 100 countries and partnerships with more than 50 LoRaWAN network operators. It also merges Netmore’s network infrastructure with Actility’s extensive partner ecosystem, driving innovation and streamlined deployment of end-to-end IoT solutions. Actility, a pioneer in LPWAN and a co-inventor of LoRaWAN, brings its ThingPark platform and subsidiary Abeeway, a leader in ultra-low power geolocation, into the Netmore family.

Industry partners, including Orange, have welcomed the deal, seeing it as a positive step for the entire European IoT ecosystem and a way to address long-standing market fragmentation. The combined entity is poised to accelerate scalable, reliable Massive IoT deployments across utilities, smart cities, enterprise, industrial, and asset tracking sectors.
