As of April 30, 2026, the Copy Fail vulnerability (CVE-2026-31431) is not yet patched in Debian Stable. According to the Debian security tracker and community discussions, patches have been released for some distributions (like forky and sid), but Debian Stable remains vulnerable. The recommended temporary mitigation is to disable the algif_aead kernel module to prevent exploitation until a patched kernel is available for Stable.
